Capitol Campaign Update
“Building and Growing Together in Faith”

To date we have collected approximately 62% of the total amount pledged and are right on track.

Our bold and exciting plan for building our new church and educational and social center is moving along schedule. We’ve already made decisions about the necessity of building a new complex. We’ve clarified our needs as a parish through an in-depth parish study. After looking at many sites, we’ve found the perfect location and purchased the land. And finally, all permits and approvals have been received to build our church complex on our new site. We hope to begin construction as soon as possible.

While we have to overcome many obstacles in preparation for this we still have one major hurdle left. The diocese requires that we have half of the money in hand before we can begin. That means in order for us to start construction we must have $1.5 million in hand. Currently, we have about $717,000. As you can see, we fall short of the $1.5 million needed.

I know you do not like to hear about money and I don’t like to talk about it. But money is just what we need. Please continue to pay on your pledges and if you haven’t begun to pay or have fallen behind, we need you to start sending in your payments.

Again, thank you for your generous pledges and payments. And above all, thank you for your vision and determination. You, the parish family of Church of the Resurrection, have committed yourselves to the future of our beloved parish and I know that with God’s blessings we will be able to accomplish the task before us.

QUESTIONS WE’VE HEARD…

Q. Why are you sending our reminder notices now?

A. The most efficient and economic way for us to remind folks of the parish’s needs and the parish’s pledges was to start sending out reminder notices. These notices are just status reports containing the details of your pledge. They are meant to let you know exactly what the balance is on your pledge as well as provide a steady stream of payment for our project.

Q. I was unable to pledge during the campaign. Can I make my pledge now?

A. Absolutely! Complete the attached pledge card. You can even structure the payment schedule as you like – it’s that simple!

Q. How will I be recognized for my contribution?

A. If you pledge a minimum of $2,500 you will receive special recognition in the new church. For larger memorial opportunities, please contact the parish office.
