Resurrection's Pastoral Plan

Dear Parishioners of Church of the Resurrection.

The Parish Pastoral Council has been hard at work in putting this Pastoral Plan together. And I am grateful to them. They and the Office of Parish life representative, Ann Marie Cawley, have heard your voices through the surveys that have been completed. With the data compiled from these surveys, they have been able to put together goals centered on the four pillars of Word, Worship, Service and Community. These goals will help us to live out our Mission Statement. The Mission Statement being the rudder that continues to keep our Church centered on Jesus Christ and his will for this Parish. We are now called to use our God given Time, Talent and Treasure to ensure that these goals are accomplished thus continuing to help this Church be the living, vibrant parish that it is. We continue to ask for the Blessed Mother’s intercession, and all the Saints, for the successful implementation of these goals and for Church of the Resurrection.

In Christ’s Peace,

Father Sean Carpenter

Moving Forward Together

The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC), guided by the Diocese of Scranton’s Office of Parish Life, has developed a Pastoral Plan shaped by your valuable feedback. This plan centers on four key goals: Word, Worship, Community, and Service. As we bring these goals to life, we invite you to continue sharing your time, talent, and treasure to help build a vibrant, faith-filled parish.

Parish Goals

Word: To create a dynamic
and accessible faith formation program that nurtures spiritual growth and deepens the under- standing of Catholic teachings at every stage of life, encouraging active participation in the Church’s mission and fostering a lifelong relationship with Christ.

Worship: To inspire and cultivate a vibrant worship community by encouraging deeper participation in the liturgy through meaningful preparation, inclusive involvement, and a welcoming environment that fosters active engagement in the Eucharistic celebration.

Community:  To enhance com- passionate and effective com- munication within the parish community, ensuring the faithful are informed and spiritually nourished as we grow together in faith.

Service:  To deepen the faith and engagement of the community by expanding outreach programs that promote spiritual growth, social justice, and service to others.
